As of tonight, the city council has yet to explain why the Overlay District ordinance 53 has been removed from the agenda. It has surely NOT been removed from their overall agenda, for that agenda is the agenda of enslavement, and the pro-slavery movement will not quit until you have been enslaved. This council will surely be back with it, or some form of it, to shove down your throats, after you've been duly notified by mail - if at all.
It is obvious the ordinances are not much concerned about getting rain water out of the city in any kind of cost efficient manner. If they were, few others would be here. I once expected they were, but I've come to understand that when a government says "impending doom is imminent", we're all in big trouble. Not the trouble that comes from the doom they're predicting, but the trouble that comes from a government about to hack off another arm of the liberty we all once enjoyed.
The "precautionary principle" (forbid all action, for the sake of preservation) should first be applied to the principle itself, and then secondly to every act of government. It is imaginable that more people have been killed by governments than by natural process. It is anti-constitutional and pure devilishness for any government to generally apply "precaution" or "precrime" to people. The "precautionary principle" is why the US Constitution enumerates very specific and limited powers, while the vast collection of God-given inalienable rights is reserved by the states and by the people.
If the "precautionary principle" were a valid doctrine to apply to individuals in every situation, then the first ten amendments to the constitution could arguably be dismissed. You can't have arms because you might kill someone. You can't have free exercise of religion, because some religions teach murder. You can't have free assembly, because some assemblies of people result in murderous intent and action.
You can't use your land because the rain water that falls from heaven is polluted by some before it flows off their land. Truly asinine to apply the principle to people in this situation. Yelling fire when there is none is not the same as building a house next to a creek.
For six years - or longer if you include the work on the Norman 2025 Land Grab - this council and its boards have been plotting how they can acquire vast tracts of land along riparian corriders and flood plains in Norman.
The city gave the residents a whopping 30 days to figure out what the council's thousands of pages of legislation mean. It seems it'll have to be passed before we find out what's in it. How very Pelosian.
A member of the planning commission instructed some of us that we should have been on top of this thing a long time ago. Well, we should have, obviously, and thanks for inviting us to your "stakeholder" meetings. I thank that board member for pointing out that the city cannot in any way be trusted to guard and protect the liberty of its citizens, and that every word and action of the council must be scrutinized in minute detail by everyone who reveres either freedom or the one true God.
Agenda 21 - the UN plan for municipal infiltration and enslavement by environmental servitude - which this city has adopted as a philosophy by resolution and ordinance, is not a conspiracy theory. It is in plain sight and open for all to see, and it is utterly foolish to dismiss or ignore it. Their documents are easily found on the internet. I have copies of enough things right here that show the city's adoption, praise, reverence and worship of it. In 2005, the mayor herself proudly introduced the "Climate Protection Agreement" that commits the city of Norman to an international UN treaty called the Kyoto Protocol. In 2009, the city adopted a resolution to beg for funding from the federal government to implement the UN's "Cities for Climate Protection", a five-step process for codifiing their commitment to sustaining the UN, Agenda 21, and one world government.
As everyone knows, the UN is a well funded worldwide group of communists and totalitarians. They clearly advocate and push for the disarmament of individuals, the nuclear disarmament of the United States, the theft and redistribution of your land and substance, and population control. In short, the control over every aspect and behavior of your lives, first though "encouragement", and then by force. One of their basic tools of force is the application precautionary principle in all kinds of new laws designed to restrict your freedom, sometimes a little and sometimes a lot at a time.
The UN clearly advocates the worship of the earth and the environment. The worship of the earth is the worship of devil spirits. Our local churches should be outraged. We have recyling, CNG vehicles, a walkable community, free rain barrels, redistibution of your wealth, oppressive dictates on your land use, and an infinitely expanding bureaucracy to regulate all of your behavior. They do this in order to save you from their superstitious belief that the world is ending. What they have done so far is just the beginning, as the Council and their boards themselves have said time and again. These people are bragadociously implementing Agenda 21 in plain sight. There are committed, enthusiastic people all over this world, this country, this state, and this city who superstitiously adhere to, teach, and suicidally act on the devilish notion that mankind is the most nefarious blight to ever inhabit the face of the earth. They say you are not "natural", and that you and your activities are "unnatural" despite God having made you. They may be themselves "natural, brute beasts", whom God will destroy at some day in the future because they have hated life and they have hated freedom. It is certain they are liars, thieves, and idolators. You must take a stand, and throw them out, and undo the damage they have done to the liberty of the people of Norman, the State of Oklahoma, and the USA.
Tonight may be too late to do anything about the ordinances, for this thing will pass despite all the protest and despite the rebukes. They only want your submission. This council does not care about your opinion, they do not care about the God of the Bible, they do not care about liberty or freedom. The are traitors to the Constitution and traitors to God, far worse than Adam was, for we have the salvation of God available to us today though the complete and finished work of our Lord Jesus Christ.
