Not content with the status of liberty you now enjoy as a citizen of Oklahoma and the United States of America, the Norman City Council is again making a targeted assault on individual freedom and personal property rights.
I attended the first of what promises to be an exciting round of ward meetings to discuss a new "Transportation Master Plan", another predetermined script designed to encumber the residents of Norman with new taxes and nonsense for the next 25-50 years - and beyond! All attendees received a lecture on what the process would be and what the outcome ought to be. We were then invited to discuss the matter in little small groups of attendees because the whole group of 20 was just too large. We were then invited to play pin-the-tail-on-the-donkey with little pink stickers and the "talking points" the organizers had made - none of which were publicly discussed.
I left and missed the grand finale because I thought that sticks, blindfolds, and pinatas were sure to be involved.
Our city's Transporation department - under orders from the City Council and Mayor Rosenthal (who was present) - has paid an engineering firm, H.W. Lochner, Inc., $30,000 to orchestrate this paternalistic, rent-seeking event rather than publicly debate the Council's motivations and the issues. Why any self-respecting engineering firm would perform this kind of back-door service and spew the tripe they did is beyond me.
Lochner was paid to come into our town to promulgate Agenda 21, the process of municipal infiltration, indoctrination, and enslavement by the ICLEI, an arm of the United Nations - a world renowned, Marxist, totalitarian-minded group of hissy-fits, also funded by you. Lochner stated - and had printed on the City of Norman's own letterhead - that one of their primary goals (it was at the top of the goals list) is to promote "sustainability", which they say is "defined globally as meeting the needs of the present population without compromising the ability of future generations to meet their own needs".
At ICLEI.org and icleiusa.org, "sustainability" is defined as “meeting the needs of the present without compromising the ability of future generations to meet their own needs.”
Coincidence? A liar and scurrying rat will say so. The connection hardly stops there. Nobody could possibly agree so perfectly on such a high and lofty goal without being shacked up together, intimate. Later, in a private conversation, Norman's chief transportation engineer Shawn O’Leary, Director of Public Works, echoed the same, silly platitude, and said that his department was not qualified to make long term plans. Really? I, for one, believe him.
I suggest Lochner be sent home. They are not qualified either. Let them keep the change - or not.

You decide if Lochner is an unbiased "facilitator", a rent-seeker, or a Marxist inspired parrot for the United Nations. You decide which members of our City Council and which of their hired hands they hide behind are guided by the insidious doctrines and commandments of devilish men. You decide if you want to be a slave, baby, a little or a lot at a time.
I hereby challenge the Mayor, the Council, and their representatives (sans the cadre of lawyers and rent-seekers) to an open and honest public debate on each one of their so-called transportation goals, including their chief desire to promote "sustainability", and including every single item in their dozens of talking points. A word for word, line by line debate. No hiding, no pretending, and no document shredding. All motives and documents come out in plain sight.
Make no mistake, the UN's stated goal is the disarmament of the USA and the abolishment of individual and national sovereignty. The governmment will be your God, or it will be your survivors' God. Their philosophy and tactics respect no national, state, or municipal boundary. They respect no political party line. They are liars and thieves, haters of God and haters of mankind. Their hatred of you and the freedom you enjoy knows no bound. There exists a vast, totalitarian conspiracy at work: incredibility and ignorance are not valid excuses for not defending yourself or your family.
You can decide to boot them out - have them recalled or replaced. Rewrite the city charter. The infiltration goes right up the ladder into organizations of government leaders like ACOG (acogok.org - Norman is a member), the US Conference of Mayors (usmayors.org, search "rosenthal") and who knows what else, and none of whom are subject to your vote and oversight.
You ought to be incensed, especially those of you who worship the one, true God, the father of our lord Jesus Christ. "In God we trust" are fine words, and make a pretty banner, but they are just words. When are you going to stand up for Him?
You stand up for the Sooners on Saturdays and get riled. When are you going to stand up for freedom?
Deeds are proof, not words, and these are the proving hours.
